Pharmaferme is a Canadian company evolved from premix and milk replacer  production. Today its role is importation and distribution of specialty ingredients for raising young animals.

Pharmaferme markets two principal products:
Soy Protein Concentrate (SPC)
Soy Protein Isolate (SPI).

SPC sources originate from manufacturing plants tailored either for human consumption and then downgraded to animal feed or is dedicated to producing directly for the animal feed industry. Food industry SPC can be downgraded to feed for various reasons, such as passed expiry dates. They remain nutritionally intact and may be higher in protein content, typically 65% (as is protein) as compared to dedicated feed grade 60% (‘as is’ protein).

SPI is manufactured solely as a human food ingredient.

​Food industry SPI has been downgraded to feed for various reasons, such as passed expiry dates. They remain nutritionally intact and are issued COA’s showing protein at the time of purchase. Typical protein content is a minimum of 85% ‘as is’.

Downgrades are homogeneous within batches but may vary in texture between loads.
